Lagoons on the Golden Circle
The Golden Circle loops from Reykjavík past Þingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss, through some of Iceland’s hottest ground. Four lagoons sit on the route or a short detour from it, so it’s easy to end the day in warm water.
Laugarvatn Fontana is on the lakeshore between Þingvellir and Geysir, with a steam room built over a hot spring. The Secret Lagoon in Flúðir is Iceland’s oldest pool, from 1891. Laugarás Lagoon, opened in 2025, has a waterfall between its two levels, and Reykjaböð in Hveragerði is on the Ring Road back to the city.
